Special guests will shine the eleventh edition of the Lucca Film Festival: expected in the same Lucca and Viareggio, thanks to the tandem with EuropaCinema, Terry Gilliam, Alfonso Cuarón, Matteo Garrone and Jeremy Irons.
The Lucca Film Festival, to be held from 15 to 22 will also dedicate a great tribute to David Cronenberg, with screenings, galas and film classes.
Canadian director de La Mosca and Videodrome, unable to attend due to personal problems, but this will be via Skype in various events, such as a complete retrospective of his films, three exhibitions and a concert that will again present some of its most beautiful soundtracks.
The events also a tribute to Roberto Nanni, director of experimental cinema; a day dedicated to Mario Monicelli (on the occasion of the centennial of his birth) and the customary international competition of short films. In the program, at the end of the festival, Lucca Effect Cinema Night, in which the city will become a real movie set outdoors.
The events to be held in Viareggio will be part of the initiatives of EuropaCinema which this year is in the bill of Lucca Film Festival
